A camera is a device which is used to capture still or video images. A camera typically consists of a hollow cylinder that has an opening at its one end, called aperture and a photographic surface on the other end. The light enters the device through the aperture and the image of the object is captured on the photographic surface. The amount of light that is allowed to enter aperture is decided on the basis of brightness of the object whose image is to be taken. One can get many equivalent exposures of an image by varying the diameter of aperture and the shutter speed.
Light is captured on a photographic film in traditional cameras. Digital camera use a charge coupled device (CCD) to capture images. One can also transfer the captured image on a computer that can be processed or edited later. These cameras can store thousands of images on their memory chips, and can also show an image on its screen immediately after it has been taken. One can always delete unwanted images from the device’s memory that will allow him or her to take more photographs with the device. There are several variants of such cameras like video cameras, live-preview camera, range finders and single lens reflex cameras.

27|Aug|2009 2When you first set up your camera you should have been asked to set the time and date. Once you have done that, you will find that every one of your image files will have the time and date (plus a lot more) is embedded in the EXIF data.
To determine the time and date of any image you have taken, just right click on the file and the image data will be shown in the files properties. If you are using Photoshop, then all you have to do is open the file info option. It is no longer necessary to print an ugly orange alpha-numeric image on top of your photo.

30|Aug|2009 8I have no idea what that first camera is, sorry. that might be a HP logo in the bottom corner but I can't be sure with that horrible picture.
From all the links you gave I would go with one of the 6.3mp Fuji's, it's a better brand than SVP. 6.3mp is better than 7.2mp on these small point & shoot cameras.
The Nikon S6 is Wi-Fi capable for less money.
